Microsoft Office 2013 Preview

Attention small business owners of Hawaii; read all about the newest release of Microsoft Office right here. Microsoft Office 2013 is now available for testing on Windows 7 and Windows 8 PCs. The good people at Microsoft are calling this program Office 15 and it is the most recent adaptation of the office program that is used by millions of people all over the world.

Some of the features that you can expect from this new program are things like; Cloud functionality, connectivity to Windows 8 tablets, as well as upgrades to all of the most popular Office programs; like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

One of the biggest developments to the Office program is the ability to create a Word document on virtually any device. Word can be used for creation or updates on a PC, Windows Phone, Windows 8 tablet, or any Windows 7 or Windows 8 PC that has an internet connection.

On top of this users will also be able to store their documents in Microsoft SkyDrive, which is a cloud storage device. Business can also access the SharePoint offerings; which has a whole host of options to help any small business.

The good news, or bad news depending on how much you like change, is that the visual changes to the Office applications aren’t that much. There will still be the ribbon across the top of the page. There is a emphasis on a clean and Metro style appearance. There is a new Start feature, but it has a similar look to the old application. Added to Office is easy access to third party systems like Flickr or LinkedIn. The Office 2013 system will also come with a Touch Mode feature. This makes it easier to navigate through the Office options and create the documents you want.

For the small business Word now offices full PDF support right out of the box. This is new change that many users will be happy about. There is also a Resume Reading option that allows you to automatically go to the point in the document that you were last at. This feature will sync with across Tablets and PCs that you use. And this is just the tip of the iceburg.

The changes to Excel are just as exciting. The biggest improvement to Excel is the Flash Fill feature. This change will allow you to reformat and rearrange with an auto-complete and no macros required. This can make document creation so much quicker.
